Our Story
Interconnect Solutions Group was formed to bring together a collection of specialist interconnect businesses operating across the UK, USA and Europe. Each company in the group has its own identity, its own market focus and its own customer relationships — unified by a shared commitment to technical excellence and responsive service.
We are not a generalist distributor. Every company in the ISG group has been built around deep expertise in specific interconnect product areas and the industries that depend on them. Our people understand the difference between a specification-compliant component and one that will simply fit — and that knowledge protects our customers' programmes.

Our History
Rayfast is established in the UK as a specialist distributor of heat shrink tubing and cable management products, building early expertise in aerospace and defence markets.
The group expands into new European and US markets, establishing Rayfast USA and Rayfast s.r.o. in the Czech Republic to serve the growing demand for specialist interconnect supply across multiple geographies.
ISG businesses are acquired by Diploma PLC, providing the group with the financial stability, governance and operational support of a FTSE 250 parent while retaining the specialist focus and agility of each individual business.
LJR Electronics, Cabletec and Astro Industries join the group, significantly expanding ISG's product range, technical capability and coverage across UK connector, cable and electromechanical markets.
German specialist Sommer GmbH joins the ISG family, strengthening the group's presence in continental European markets and extending technical expertise into precision cable and connector assemblies for demanding industrial applications.
ISG operates as a cohesive group of seven specialist businesses, serving over 10 demanding industries from eight locations worldwide, with combined stock depth and technical expertise unmatched in the specialist interconnect sector.
